Hacking Heroes was initiated by two programmers and delivered with the support of partner organisations in Poland and Portugal, funded through the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership for Youth programme.
The Kalisz-based foundation that hosted the Polish side of Hacking Heroes, providing the organisational structure through which the project applied for and administered its Erasmus+ funding. The foundation ran the Polish recruitment process and coordinated the workshops in Kalisz.
The Espinho-based association that hosted the Portuguese side of Hacking Heroes, running local recruitment and workshops and bringing prior experience of European youth training projects to the partnership.
Hacking Heroes was funded through the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership for Youth programme, which covered the workshops in both countries, the five-day hackathon in Porto including travel, accommodation and meals for participants, and the development of open educational materials.
The Warsaw-based foundation that serves as the Polish National Agency for the Erasmus+ programme for 2014–2020. It assessed and awarded the funding that made Hacking Heroes possible.

Daria and Ewa documented the workshops and other project activities in Kalisz through photography and video.
André Reis
André documented the international hackathon in Porto through photography and video.

Blip provided the venue where the international teams worked together during the Hacking Heroes hackathon in Porto.
Mike helped establish the collaboration between Hacking Heroes and Blip, making it possible for the hackathon to take place at the company's venue.
